H6-PHOTOBUCKET PROJECT

The creation of a slide show was pretty easy because I am used to uploading pictures and creating online photo albums. It is especially easy because it walks you right through the steps it takes to create the slide show on photobucket. This project was interesting... it is fun to stop and think about your surroundings and their relationship to the elements and principles of design.

Link to my Photobucket slide show is seen below:

This site is great for tips and tutorials on how to create your own logo. It gives a lot of examples of logos and how they were graphically created. It has detailed articles on the affects of colors, fonts, pictures, and much more. It even has a link to an article on creating a logo in adobe illustrator. I have been reading several articles and tips from this page and looking at different logos for thoughts and ideas. I suggest this site to everyone! It's great.

I really liked the videos on using the pen, paintbrush, and pencil tools. They were really interesting and I especially liked the way the presenters went through each video. Even though they went a little fast, it was great to be walked through step by step. I learned all about how to make organic shapes from pretty much a box. You can manipulate forms by a simple click. You can use fills before you create your solid form or put them in after. I have never used adobe applications before but I was amazed. The only application I've ever used on the computer to create an image is Paint. I'm sure everyone knows of paint but it really doesn't have any special features at all. The adobe applications make paint look pretty bad... With the tools shown on the videos you can draw anything. You really don't need to be good at art to use this application and create something visually appealing. All you need is patience and the time to learn the application and it's tools. I'm really excited to get to use this application and hopefully get really comfortable with the tools.

Honestly, I didn't need to look up any sites to get help for my first lesson plan. I really knew what my idea was and where I was going with it. I used the webquest sites for different ideas and approaches. I also used several websites for definitions. I paid close attention to the Buffalo State College Art Education Lesson Format and it was very helpful. I also used the requirements list to expand my vocabulary. There are several different websites you could use that help with lesson plans. I found a lot for elementary school which is great because I want to teach kids. The following are sites I explored:

These would be great to use in the future.

On Microsoft Office online I found a bunch of helpful hints for PowerPoint. I was curious how to add effects to text and pictures so I went to the "Add Animations" link. Everything on the site shows an easy step by step way to do things. You can add sound or effects to text, bullets, pictures, anything really. This site is great to use if you are confused about anything on PowerPoint.
